Currently in the Special Exhibits Gallery, the Pratt Museum is proud to present Qupak: New Works by renowned Alaska Native artist Sonya Kelliher-Combs. A diverse Athabascan, Inupiaq, Irish, and German background influences her art, mixing Western with traditional Native culture, organic and modern materials and man with nature. Through her mixed media painting and sculpture, Kelliher-Combs offers a chronicle of the ongoing struggle for self-definition and identity in the Alaskan context.
