As one of four Alaskan artists represented in the exhibit Shifting Tides: Convergence in Cloth, Cat Larrea will be presenting the process and techniques used in creating her piece, “Tide Water Glacier.” The presentation is aimed at anyone interested in working with fiber reactive dyes in general and learning about dye painting specifically. Information on supplies, resources and further education will be provided to participants.
You can see Cat’s piece, as well as the work for 44 other artists from around the Pacific coast in Shifting Tides: Convergence in Cloth, on display at the Pratt Museum from October 9 – December 19.
