Smith \nFriday\, December 6\, 2024 \n12pm – 1:30pm | $30 per person/$25 per Museum member \nJoin photographer and Rarefied Light 2023 finalist Kevin G. Smith for a photowalk through the Pratt Museum’s Forest Trails & along Pioneer Avenue. Smith will share insights into the strategies he uses in portraiture and architecture photography. Learn more about Smith by visiting his website. \nThis is an opportunity to practice your photography skills\, learn a few tips and tricks from an experienced photographer\, and meet other people in the community with an interest in photography. All skill levels welcome\, must bring your own camera device. \nOnline registration required. This workshop is for adults and older youth only.

DESCRIPTION:First Friday: Artist Talk featuring Rarefied Light 2023 photographer Kevin G. Smith \nFriday\, December 6\, 2024 | free admission from 4-6pm | Artist Talk at 5pm \nJoin accomplished Anchorage photographer Kevin G. Smith to learn more about his submissions to the show currently on display in our Main Gallery\, Rarefied Light 2023. Smith has three photos in the show\, which is the state’s largest annual juried photographic exhibition sponsored annually by Alaska Photographic Center. His talk will begin at 5pm. \nAdmission is FREE for First Friday from 4-6pm\, talk will begin at 5pm. All three galleries of the Museum will be open\, as well as the Museum Store. Enjoy light refreshments\, explore the exhibit\, and connect with other community members. \nThe photograph above is one of Smith’s selected photos from the show\, Kivalina Road 1.
