SUMMARY:Basket Art Weaving with Plant Materials
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, August 5\, 1-5 p.m\, $65 \n*Registration required/space limited \nWeaving baskets from plant materials is a magical process. Led by Homer’s own award-winning\, internationally known basket artist and story weaver\, Mavis Muller. Mavis will instruct & collaborate with each student to create a unique\, one-of-a-kind woven vessel using locally gathered natural materials such as: alder\, wild grass\, nettle. She will share unique natural embellishments from her personal collection. Participants will be invited to display their baskets that evening from 4-6 during the museum’s First Friday open house. Materials provided.
