KENAI PENINSULA HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING
Pratt Museum Downstairs Classroom | 9am – 3pm | no charge

For the first time in decades, the peninsula-wide umbrella organization will meet in Homer at the Pratt Museum. You don’t need to be a member to attend, and there is no fee.

The doors open on the Pratt’s lower level at 9 AM for a meet and greet, with beverages and snacks included.

The KPHA business meeting begins at 10 AM. Note that the business meeting will include reports from all the different societies and about borough-wide activities. Following the meeting, there will be a shared lunch and, if you want, you can contribute a potluck item.

At 1 PM, Museum staff will provide a presentation on the exciting new collections migration project, Improving Accessibility: Pratt Museum Collections Go Online!

This will be an excellent opportunity to meet other people interested in Kenai Peninsula history, plus learn about area historical societies and local museums, such as the Pratt. If you want to ask questions or join the KPHA, we will make it easy for you.

The KPHA has been around for more than 50 years. Current member groups include the Pratt Museum and 7 historical societies, of which 6 operate local museums. The KPHA helps the groups learn from each other and share ideas and resources. It meets twice a year, in the spring and fall, with different member groups hosting. It has an informative new web page at: https://www.kenaipeninsulahistoricalassociation.org/

Please RSVP via email at kpha1959ak@gmail.com if you plan to attend so we can provide enough food and chairs 😉
