Cultivating Wild Plants in Your Garden

June 18, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Saturday, June 18, 1-3 pm, $15

*Registration required/space limited

Have you ever wondered how to incorporate beautiful Alaskan wildflowers or unique alpine plants into your home garden? Join Shawn Jackinsky, Pratt Head Gardener and Kenai Peninsula Homesteader, to learn some of the fun and creative ways to bring these plants into your garden. We will talk about creating the right soil and setting for coastal plants, alpine plants, bog plants and more. We’ll also explore how to make cuttings and divisions, so you can propagate plants in the field and eventually share plants from your garden with your friends. You’ll take home a small potted plant from our garden at the end of the day!
