The Adopt - A - Bone Program paired a student with a particular bone in the Sperm Whale skeleton. Students then took that bone through each step in the reassembly process. The students cleaned, weighed, measured, photographed, illustrated, and finally fit their bone onto the articulated skeleton. This process let students explore all aspects of the restoration process, and their talents and interests. |
