Docenting at the Pratt Museum

Pratt Museum volunteers attend docent training to work as interpretive guides for groups throughout the year. Be sure to check our calendar for the next docent training event!

Visiting groups from the Homer area and across the state travel to the Museum to learn about the natural and cultural environment unique to the Kachemak Bay region. Come and share your knowledge and enthusiasm for our place by working as a volunteer docent!

 

Docent Responsibilities

  • Interpreting museum exhibits for school groups.
  • Participating in learning activities with school groups.
  • Attending Museum training at the Pratt to focus on exhibit subjects of your choice.
