The Craft of Kayak Building

Miniature kayak and sea mammal hunter

Model of Kayak and Sea Mammal Hunter

All tools for hunting and survival were within easy reach on the kayak deck as the hunter pursued sea otter, small whales, and seals. The hunter was dressed in traditional hunting regalia. Decorated implements and clothing along with proper attitudes and actions before, during, and after a hunt, showed respect for the spirits of the animals being killed.
