Please join us to celebrate the opening of “Living Alaska: A Decade of Collecting Contemporary Art for Alaska’s Museums.”
Curated by Sven Haakanson, Jr. and designed by the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center, the exhibition contains 25 pieces loaned from 12 different museums. For its showing at the Pratt Museum, this collection will be supplemented by 9 additional pieces in the Pratt Museum’s permanent collection. Homer is the first stop of the exhibition tour following its premiere in Anchorage.
The exhibition, “Living Alaska: A Decade of Collecting Contemporary Art for Alaska Museums,” was organized by the Anchorage Museum. Major support for traveling the exhibition has been generously provided by the Rasmuson Foundation. This exhibit is supported in part by Alaska State Council on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, and City of Homer.
