In conjunction with Bird Dance, artist and educator Faith Revell will present a day-long workshop. As in the special exhibit, “Gesture and form in Nature” will emphasize motion, action, and liveliness in art.
After an overview and discussion of the day at the Pratt Museum, students will spend the morning outdoors observing wildlife and gathering inspiration. After a lunch break (bring a bag lunch) the class returns to the Pratt. Faith will lead a gallery talk and walk, and students will draw and paint from mounted specimens and expand their work on drawings created in the field.
