Sharlene Cline’s installation Ties Us Together combines historic photos and truly expansive landscape paintings of Kachemak Bay to capture the common themes that tie us together: our shared activities as well as our near horizons. As part of an installation depicting Mount St. Augustine, we invite visitors to bring in their own pictures of what keeps you connected to our community, and attach them to the fishing net tapestry.
Meanwhile, Kachemak 2068 shares visions of our possible futures as envisioned by over 200 area students, from grades K through 12. Grouped by geographic locales around Homer, Port Graham, and Nanwalek, these works range from whimsical to dystopic, with a burst of color and a variety of possibilities!
