Join us the day after Earth Day for a special presentation by Dr. Tony Burgess, an environmental scientist and ecologist whose work includes the Biosphere2 project. The stories that we tell and remember give us a sense of place. In the context of changing climate on our boreal coast, which stories help us live well? Which stories do we choose to enact, and which do we use to explain how the Earth works? We are whelmed with contrasting narrative themes about our relationship with Kachemak Bay watersheds, from agrarian sustainability to mercantile globalization. How can we thoughtfully participate in creating a story about the past, present, and possible futures of this place?
