July 13, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Sean Farley, Research Biologist and Bear Specialist with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, will provide an overview of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game brown bear studies on the Kenai Peninsula over the years, and then focus on demographic work in recent times.  Specific data such as mean litter size, cub and adult survival will be covered, and then a little time will be spent discussing different population models and how female survival is critical to a population’s stability.
