Fish Feedings Every Tuesday and Friday at 4pm Help feed all the intertidal creatures in the aquaria. Fish feeding is free and all ages are invited!
May 21st through August 1st, Sailing for Salmon - 125 Years of Fishing in Bristol Bay. Opening reception May 21, 5-7pm Bring your favorite Salmon dish and come and help with the judging during the opening reception. The best salmon dish will receive a People’s Choice Award and win a gift certificate to the fabulous Pratt Museum Store! Get creative: Find your favorite salmon recipes – bring some to share – taste the best of Homer's salmon . . . and put a gold star on your favorite dish! Please bring your dish to the Pratt by 4:30 pm.
Thursdays and Saturdays, 9am to 4pm. Come watch as a local boatwright works on the restoration of a historic Bristol Bay double ender sailboat. The restoration work will be ongoing through the summer.
May 28th through September 4th, Fridays & Saturdays at 3pm Historic Harbor Walking Tours Meet with a Museum docent at the Pratt Wheelhouse in front of the Salty Dawg Saloon on the Homer Spit, and walk the historic docks of the Homer Harbor. $5.00 per person

Monday, June 7th - June 16th (10 AM - 5:45 PM) Registration at the Pratt Admission Desk ($10 fee), site selection and installation period.
Wednesday, June 16th (5 PM) - Deadline for installation of art, submission of brief artist statement, fee and signed loan agreement. Friday, June 18th (5-7 PM) - Opening Reception.

June 18th through July 30th, Mondays & Fridays from 2pm to 3pm Object At Hand This summer program is hosted by Pratt Interns who select and research an item in the Museum’s permanent collections. Regular admission applies, free to museum members.
June 17th through August 5th Forest Ecology Walks, Thursday evenings at 6pm Join a Pratt Museum docent at the Forest Ecology Trailhead behind the Museum for an hour of interesting and informative forest ecology discovery.
July 7th through July 28th, Late Night with the Bears, Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm See the “night life” of Katmai National Park & Preserve brown bears, viewed through the Pratt’s live BearCam. Note: Technical problems have delayed this event. Please contact the Pratt Museum for the current schedule.
August 6th through September 26th, Inspiration - An Alaska Native Art Exhibition. Opening Reception – Friday, August 6th 5 - 7
September 3 & 4, Tamamta Katurlluta - A Gathering of Native Tradition is a coming together of Alaska Native artists, elders, tradition-bearers, dancers, drummers, and non-Native participants for cultural sharing and community building. Public events include:

A Day at the Pratt 12:00pm Potluck 1:00 PM, NYO Demonstrations and other activities TBA, An Evening of Dance and Culture: Featuring the Paluwik Aluutiiq Dancers of Port Graham, the Kenaitze Indian Tribe’s Jabila'ina Dance Group, the Nanwalek Seal Dancers with guest performers the Tlingit & Haida Dancers of Anchorage at Homer High School's Mariner Theatre at 7 PM. $5 at the Door, 12 and under free.

Object at Hand
The Object at Hand (June-August): Each Monday and Friday at 3:00pm, Pratt Interns will display a different object from the storage collection, and provide stories and insights about the featured “object at hand.”
Forest Ecology Trail Walks
Join a Pratt Museum volunteer on the Pratt Museum Forest Ecology Trail for an hour of interesting and informative forest ecology discussion. Each Thursday evening at 6pm this summer, a Pratt volunteer will lead a walk around the trail and highlight some of the many things that make the Forest Ecology Trail one of downtown Homer's best short hikes. No fee; meet at the trailhead behind the museum at 6pm. Special Note: The trail is flat but often muddy, and is not stroller or wheelchair accessible. Please, no pets during the program. Family Free Days
There
are several days throughout the year when the Pratt is open for special
seasonal celebrations and activities that involve the whole family. Our
most popular free day, the Stocking Stuffer on the Saturday following
Thanksgiving, includes graham cracker houses, crafts, and pictures in
the Homestead Cabin with Santa. Join us for our next free day at the Museum!
